Extreme Mustang Makeover

horse

The extreme mustang makeover is an event that was founded to help promote the versatility, trainability and worth of the American Mustang as an equine companion, in order to help find homes for mustangs. Trainers from all over America have 100 days to take a completely untouched horse from wild, to mild.

They then compete with their mustangs in an exciting competition showing off their new skills, in a handling class, trail, maneuvers, and then the top ten compete in an exciting musical freestyle competition! Afterwards the horses are available for adoption.

This year I was accepted as a trainer in the 2019 Youth Extreme Mustang Makeover. I picked up Mustang Diva in March and she is doing so well! I document her journey, as well as last years mustang, Sunny, on my YouTube Channel “Madeline Hofmeister Horsemanship”.

I want to help these incredibly intelligent, eager to please horses find good and loving homes.

My mission is to give every horse I can the best chance I can at success, by helping them to gain the skills and training that they need to thrive in our human world.

We can make a difference, one day, one horse, and one person at a time!

Whether you can train a wild mustang,

adopt a trained one, or just plain spread the word,

we can all change the world by helping these horses find homes!
